Why it works...

If you know anything about Ayurveda, it might be that it categorizes life into constitutions called Doshas. A dosha is made up of elements, and there are three: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Any person is characterized by a primary dosha and a secondary dosha. The goal of an Ayurvedic postpartum is to pacify or reduce the excess Vata in a woman who has just given birth. The excess space (Vata) inside an evacuated womb can cause imbalances that contribute to postpartum depression, depletion, prolapse, bleeding, and things like that. Specialized herbal formulas, time-sensitive recipes, and a period of deep rest ensure that mama and baby will avoid unwanted issues and create a bond that sets the foundation for health and happiness.

"the great thing about Ayurveda is that its treatments always yield side benefits, not side effects.
